Kabuki drops

A Kabuki Drop reveal hidden elements on stage with a swift and sudden drop of drapes or curtains. Kabuki drops are often used during product launches and live performances to create mystery, surprise, excitement, and focus for the audience. From the traditional Japanese Kabuki Dance Theatre of the 1600s, the Kabuki Reveal is known for its stylized dramatic entrances, exits, and mysteries. Kabuki Drops are traditionally made by rolling poles.

A remote control is used to release drapes or curtains suspended on hooks or magnetic clamps. Kabuki can disguise anything from a new product to a live band to a celebrity presenter. In addition to a kabuki dropping, other elements such as a moving light show, video projection, and smoke effects are combined to create a dramatic effect.
